John was first hired out of college from Purdue University. After starting in the Civil Department working on the Tollway and the Thornton Quarry Dam, John went to our New Orleans office and supported our operations self-performing the concrete structures for several schools and a USACE Pump Station & Levee until his return to Civil – Chicago in 2015. Since then, John has worked with IDOT, MWRD, ISTHA, Metra, and CDOT as well as successfully completing projects and building relationships with private owners such as Jone Lang LaSalle, Related Midwest, Sterling Bay and FairPoint.

John’s inherent knowledge of the Department will be critical to maintain operations and grow our success as Chicago’s premiere Civil and Infrastructure contractor. Over the next several years, Chicago and its surrounding suburbs will see large investments from the $41B Rebuild Illinois Program. Given John’s track record of successfully managing large and challenging projects both public and private, we believe that F.H. Paschen will continue to pave the way as an industry leader in Civil Construction.
