Meet Our Executives

Timothy B. Stone, aka “Stoney”, is a problem-solver with an endless thirst for taking on tough assignments the Paschen way.

Timothy B. Stone

Senior Vice President

It’s said within the Paschen team that if “Stoney” shows up on your project… you must be in a pickle.

With over 40 years of industry experience, and a knack for living out of his suitcase, Tim served as our Vice President of West Coast Operations since 2004. Due to his past experience, Tim now oversees our regional operations outside of Chicago.  He has held a variety of managerial roles during his tenure at Paschen, including managing our Civil Division and our Estimating Department.

Tim got his start in the business working as a laborer while he was in college. He credits that experience with teaching him what the business end of a shovel was all about, and he’s worked his way up from there and never looked back.

Tim’s favorite part about his job today is that every day is a new challenge, so he never gets bored. He comes into work each morning at the crack of dawn (he’s a morning person) ready to react quickly to whatever the day throws at him.

When he’s not solving problems, Tim spends as much time as he can with his wife and 2 kids just hanging out at home. “I like to travel, but sometimes it’s nice to sleep in your own bed,” he says. Tim also enjoys working on his golf game, which right now, averages out at right around par.

Favorite memory at Paschen: “The first time I ever met Bud was at a Michigan Avenue bridge project Paschen was doing. He invited me to come down and take a look. He asked me, ‘What do you think?’ I told him, ‘You got yourself into kind of a mess here...but it looks fixable.’ So he asked me when I could start. And I took the job, worked to fix the problem, and it worked! So our first meeting was sort of my impromptu job interview.”

Schools and affiliations: Holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology
