Job Description:
The Construction Intern is an entry-level position to assist project managers and estimators with submittals, schedules, quantity takeoffs, subcontractor solicitation, material logs, cost control and project reports.

Requirements:
Candidates should be enrolled in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, or related majors in the built environment. Experience with computer applications for spreadsheets, word processing and scheduling is preferred.

Project Engineer – May 2017 Graduate

Job Description:
The Project Engineer is a full-time position. Responsibilities include coordinating material procurement and delivery, producing project schedules, reviewing and determining suitability of shop drawings and submittals, quoting/qualifying subcontractor requests for change orders, tracking status of change orders, tracking status of requests for information, verifying and distributing as-builts, maintaining project close-out documents, assisting with field supervision, quantity take offs, subcontractor coordination and other tasks as assigned.

Requirements:
Candidates should have a B.S. in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, or related majors in the built environment and have experience with computer applications for spreadsheets, word processing and scheduling. Previous internship experience is preferred.

Heavy Civil Construction Superintendent

Job Description:
The Civil Superintendent works with the project team on Heavy Civil Construction projects and is responsible for day-to-day supervision of the project site and is directly responsible for project safety. The Superintendent coordinates material deliveries and supervises field labor for self-performed work. The Superintendent also monitors subcontractor progress, ensures project completion dates, and resolves field conflicts.

Requirements:
Candidates should have 7-10 years of heavy highway construction experience, experience supervising self-perform work, working knowledge of OSHA safety regulations, and good supervisory, communication, and organizational skills.

Heavy Civil Construction Project Manager

Job Description:
The Civil Project Manager works with a project team to manage civil self-perform construction projects throughout Chicago. Responsibilities include negotiating contract changes with owners and subcontractors, maintaining schedules and cost reports and collaborating on safety and quality with the project team, among other responsibilities.

Requirements:
Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or another degree within the built environment, as well as 5-8 years’ experience working in project management for a general contractor. Knowledge of construction, design, cost reporting and cash flow management. Computer skills, knowledge of Project Management, Scheduling, good communication and organizational skills are necessary.

Assistant Superintendent

Job Description:
The Assistant Superintendent assists for day to day supervision on the project site.

Requirements:
2 - 4 years General Construction experience required, as well as experience working with a team. Working knowledge of OSHA safety regulations preferred. Communication, supervisory and organizational skills are necessary.

Job Description:
The Project Manager works with a project team to manage construction projects throughout Chicago. Project scopes range from renovation and expansion to new construction. Responsibilities include negotiating contract changes with owners and subcontractors, maintaining schedules and cost reports and Collaborating on safety and quality with the project team, among other responsibilities.

Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or another degree within the built environment, as well as 5-8 years’ experience working in project management for a general contractor. Job Description:

Must be proficient with computer applications for spreadsheets, word processing, and scheduling and must have good oral and written skills.

 

ATLANTA, GA

Superintendent

Job Description:
The Superintendent works with the project team and is responsible for day to day supervision on the project site. Travel to projects within a 2 hour distance from Atlanta will be required.

Requirements:
5 - 10 years General Construction experience required. Working knowledge of OSHA safety regulations preferred. Communication, supervisory and organizational skills are necessary.

Part-Time Administrative Assistant

Job Description:
The Administrative Assistant provides administrative support to the project team. Responsibilities include preparing and tracking vouchers for payment, maintaining project files, collecting and verifying required subcontractor documents, as well as other tasks as assigned.

Requirements:
Candidates must have a high school diploma and a minimum of 1 year administrative experience. Experience with a construction company is preferred.

 

FALLS CHURCH, VA

MEP BIM Coordinator

Job Description:
The MEP BIM Coordinator is responsible for mechanical, electrical and plumbing constructability review and coordination in a BIM/3D Modeling format. Responsibilities include coordinating with the structural, civil and architectural design teams for MEP design modifications, working closely with the design team and subcontractors by attending coordination meetings, proposing and validating viable technical changes, following up with the implementation of changes, taking responsibility for and managing the various stages of the MEP coordination process, and coordinating BIM/3D model with subcontractors throughout process, as well as other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
Candidates must have experience in mechanical, electrical and plumbing coordination, solid working knowledge of BIM and 3D Modeling, proficient in AutoCad, Revit and Navisworks, motivates team to work together in the most efficient manner, mitigates team conflict and communication problems, manages day-to-day internal client interaction and communicates effectively with internal clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering and 5-10 years industry experience.

B.S in Construction Management or Civil Engineering, and a minimum of 15 years construction experience, including recent experience in the DC metro area. Must possess supervisory experience to manage Construction Project Teams.  Must be proficient with computer applications, have superior knowledge of scheduling software, and possess excellent written, oral communication, and organizational skills. Must have strong knowledge of construction, design, cost reporting, and cash flow management. Computer skills, knowledge of Project Management, Scheduling, good communication, and organizational skills are necessary.
