Summer 2017 BIM Intern

Job Description:
The BIM Intern is a summer position to work with the BIM director. The intern will work on several projects – both in the office and in the field and responsibilities include, but won’t be limited to, 3D MEP Coordination assistance, 4D Construction sequencing, 3D gap modeling, BIM document preparation, Assisting the BIM Director in research efforts, field visits, laser scanning and surveying activities.

Requirements:
Candidates should be enrolled in Building Information Modeling, Architecture, or related majors in the built environment. Experience with BIM based computer applications such as Trimble SketchUp, Autodesk Revit and RhinoBIM is required.

Summer 2017 Construction Intern

Job Description:
The Construction Intern is an entry-level position to assist project managers and estimators with submittals, schedules, quantity takeoffs, subcontractor solicitation, material logs, cost control and project reports.

Requirements:
Candidates should be enrolled in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, or related majors in the built environment. Experience with computer applications for spreadsheets, word processing and scheduling is preferred.

Project Engineer – May 2017 Graduate

Job Description:
The Project Engineer is a full-time position. Responsibilities include coordinating material procurement and delivery, producing project schedules, reviewing and determining suitability of shop drawings and submittals, quoting/qualifying subcontractor requests for change orders, tracking status of change orders, tracking status of requests for information, verifying and distributing as-builts, maintaining project close-out documents, assisting with field supervision, quantity take offs, subcontractor coordination and other tasks as assigned.

Requirements:
Candidates should have a B.S. in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, or related majors in the built environment and have experience with computer applications for spreadsheets, word processing and scheduling. Previous internship experience is preferred.

Project Estimator

Job Description:
The Project Estimator will work with the Preconstruction team to estimate conceptually; prepare accurate conceptual budgeting/estimates through final GMP; communicate with subcontractors/suppliers for budgetary cost/unit price input; attend Client meetings when necessary; identify key subcontractors for specific projects; maintain subcontractor/supplier bid lists; take off quantities for labor, material and subcontractor items; review estimates; subcontractor and supplier quotes for complete scope; identify/manage value engineering opportunities to maintain project budget; and maintain historical database for budgets and pricing.

Requirements:
Candidates should have a B.S. degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering and 1-3 years of experience. Must be proficient with computer applications for spreadsheets, word processing, and scheduling, and must have good oral and written skills.  Preconstruction estimating experience with software such as Winest, Accubid or Timberline is preferred.

Project Engineer

Job Description:
The Project Engineer will coordinate material procurement and delivery, produce project schedules, review and determine suitability of shop drawings and submittals, quote/qualify subcontractor requests for change orders, track change order status and requests for information, collect, verify and distribute as-builts, maintain project close-out documents, assist with field staff supervision, be proficient at blueprint reading and quantity takeoffs.

Requirements:
Candidates should have a B.S. degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering or another curriculum within the built environment and 1-2 years of experience. Must be proficient with computer applications for spreadsheets, word processing, and scheduling and must have good oral and written skills.

 

ATLANTA, GA

Superintendent

Job Description:
The Superintendent works with the project team and is responsible for day to day supervision on the project site. Travel to projects within a 2 hour distance from Atlanta will be required.

Requirements:
5 - 10 years General Construction experience required. Working knowledge of OSHA safety regulations preferred. Communication, supervisory and organizational skills are necessary.

 

FALLS CHURCH, VA

MEP BIM Coordinator

Job Description:
The MEP BIM Coordinator is responsible for mechanical, electrical and plumbing constructability review and coordination in a BIM/3D Modeling format. Responsibilities include coordinating with the structural, civil and architectural design teams for MEP design modifications, working closely with the design team and subcontractors by attending coordination meetings, proposing and validating viable technical changes, following up with the implementation of changes, taking responsibility for and managing the various stages of the MEP coordination process, and coordinating BIM/3D model with subcontractors throughout process, as well as other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
Candidates must have experience in mechanical, electrical and plumbing coordination, solid working knowledge of BIM and 3D Modeling, proficient in AutoCad, Revit and Navisworks, motivates team to work together in the most efficient manner, mitigates team conflict and communication problems, manages day-to-day internal client interaction and communicates effectively with internal clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering and 5-10 years industry experience.

Superintendent

Job Description:
The superintendent is responsible for day to day supervision of the project site and ensuring project safety. The superintendent coordinates material deliveries and supervises field labor for any self-performed work. The Superintendent also monitors subcontractor progress, ensures project completion dates and resolves field conflicts.

Requirements:
Candidates should have a minimum of 7 years construction superintendent experience, working knowledge of OSHA safety regulations, and good supervisory, communication and organizational skills.

Senior Project Manager

Job Description:
The Senior Project Manager oversees operations for work managed in the Northern Virginia office.  The Senior Project Manager reports to the Operations Manager and works directly with the General Superintendent.  Responsibilities include budgeting, planning and staffing needs for regional office, supervising and overseeing training of the Virginia staff, developing work plans, and overseeing projects to achieve construction objectives and ensure quality, profitability, and compliance with company policies and procedures. The Senior Project Manager is also responsible for business development and developing growth strategies for the regional office, as well as other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
B.S in Construction Management or Civil Engineering, and a minimum of 15 years construction experience, including recent experience in the DC metro area. Must possess supervisory experience to manage Construction Project Teams.  Must be proficient with computer applications, have superior knowledge of scheduling software, and possess excellent written, oral communication, and organizational skills. Must have strong knowledge of construction, design, cost reporting, and cash flow management. Computer skills, knowledge of Project Management, Scheduling, good communication, and organizational skills are necessary.

Requirements:
Requirements include B.S in Construction Management or Civil Engineering, 10-15 years construction experience and a minimum of 5 years recent experience in the DC metro area.  Experience must include building and site/civil projects exceeding $10 million. Must possess supervisory experience to manage Project Engineers, Superintendents, Forepersons, and Administrative Staff.  Must be proficient with computer applications, Primavera scheduling software, and possess excellent written, oral communication, and organizational skills. Must have strong knowledge of construction, design, cost reporting, and cash flow management. Computer skills, knowledge of Project Management and Scheduling, and good communication and organizational skills are necessary.

Civil Superintendent

Job Description:
The Superintendent is responsible for day-to-day supervision of the project site and is directly responsible for project safety, quality control, and field production.

Requirements:
A minimum of 7 years experience on heavy civil projects and supervising self-perofrm is required and experience with City of Miami and FDOT standards and regulations is preferred.

Operations Manager

Job Description:
The Operations Manager is responsible for the management of the project staff in the Florida office. The Operations Manager reports to and works with the company Vice President to implement company procedures, as well as establish budgets and goals for the office.  The position requires the Manager to understand both lump sum and unit price contracts, while transitioning between lump sum, job order contract and heavy civil projects.  The Operations Manager is responsible for forming relationships with client organizations to understand their processes, decision making styles and satisfaction with final product.  The Manager will oversee multiple project teams, while working to establish new relationships and identifying new work opportunities, among other responsibilities.

Requirements:
Candidates must have a B.S. degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering and 10 years of construction project management experience.  Must have knowledge of construction, estimating, design, finance and management.  Candidates must be proficient with computer applications, superior knowledge of scheduling software, possess excellent written, oral communication, and organizational skills.
