Paschen Completes Work on the Summer 2013 School Investment Program in Chicago
Last month, the Paschen Milhouse Joint Venture wrapped up work on the Summer 2013 School Investment Program in Chicago. Renovations totaling over $18.5 million were completed at 15 Chicago Public Schools for the Public Building Commission of Chicago.
The school projects were delivered Design/Build by our team consisting of Architects, MEP Engineers, Environmental Consultants, Construction Project Managers, Construction Project Engineers, and Subcontractors. Paschen hired locally and all work was completed on a fast-track, six week schedule. Renovations included new kitchen and serving lines, science labs, classrooms, corridors, playgrounds, gymnasiums, auditoriums, and new computer labs. In addition, fully operational air conditioning systems were installed along with wi-fi networks, ADA upgrades, and emergency lighting, and security systems. We also performed some masonry, parking lot resurfacing, signage, and roofing work.
Paschen is proud to be involved with the program to improve Chicago Public Schools and provide a better learning environment for students.
