Paschen to begin construction on cta blue line stations
Starting in September, two stations will be shut down for a number of weeks for renovations to the O’Hare branch of the Blue Line. As part of the $492 million “Your New Blue” project, the California Station will close for six weeks, followed by the Damen Station for nine weeks. Both stations will receive station and platform upgrades including lighting and signage, structural repairs, increased turnstiles and new bike racks. While remaining open, the Western station will also receive less-extensive repairs and upgrades.
The California station is scheduled to close Sept. 4 and reopen Oct. 16.
The Damen station will close Oct. 20 and reopen Dec. 22.
